This summer, the Spetses Classic Yacht Regatta, the Aegean Regatta 2018, the 55th Aegean Sailing Rally and the International Sailing Week “Rodos Cup 2018” call for unforgettable sailing experiences of enchanting sea ballets in outstanding watery routes.
The Spetses Classic Yacht Regatta (14-17 June 2018) in scenic Spetses island, is not only the largest classic yacht race in Greece but also a yacht race like no other! Celebrating the island's long naval tradition, this unique event offers sailors the chance to race against some historic traditional Greek sailing yachts, genuine masterpieces of the greek shipbuilding art, harking back to the golden age of classic vessels, some 200 years ago.
The Aegean Regatta 2018 (20-30 July 2018) will guide sailors to an amazing exploration of the Central and Southeast Aegean, starting from Patmos island, sailing to Astypalaia, then Nisyros and finishing in Rhodes, the largest among the Dodecanese islands cluster. Also known as the “Island of the Revelation”, whitewashed and cosmopolitan Patmos is a scenic destination charged with biblical essence while Rhodes is world-known as the "Island of the Knights", as glorious castles and medieval towns amazingly blend with endless sandy beaches inspiring an awesome time travel essence.
The 55th Aegean Sailing Rally (20-30 July), a regatta organized for 55 consecutive years in the Aegean Sea, this summer will guide sailors from Faliro Marina in Athens to the islands of endless turquoise Αmorgos, world-known as the filming location of the "Big Blue" movie, unspoilt Lipsi island and quintessential Paros, before sailing back to Cape Sounion in the Athenian Riviera.
The International Sailing Week “Rodos Cup 2018” (15 - 20 July), completes 20 years of initiating visitors to the spectacular beauty of the Aegean islands. Relish the sun and the sea starting from scenic Kos, sail to the traditional sponge-fishing island of Kalymnos, then to volcanic Nisiros, colourful Simi islands and finally reach Rhodes, the renowned “Isle of the Knights”.
